SÚPER Röger Classic - Silicon Germanium Fuzz based on the fuzz face modified by Roger Mayer for Hendrix.
Introducing our guitar effects pedal, a technical tribute to the iconic Fuzz Face designed by Roger Mayer and famously used by Jimi Hendrix throughout his legendary musical journey. This pedal stands out for its artisanal construction, NOS (New Old Stock) NKT275 germanium transistors, precise voltage adjustments, and an ergonomic design featuring large knobs that can be adjusted with your foot.
** THE SOUND **
From a creamy crunch to a beastly fuzz.
The Fuzz pedal delivers the distinctive distortion and vintage tone reminiscent of the 1960s music era. Equipped with silicon transistors, it offers warm saturation and remarkable sustain. From gentle tones to energetic solos, it faithfully captures the sound that left an indelible mark on Jimi Hendrix's music. This pedal is initially tuned according to Roger Mayer's original parameters for Hendrix and further refined through sound testing with instruments and amplifiers from the 1960s (see pictures). This ensures authenticity and tonal fidelity. Additionally, the trimmers allow you to adjust the transistor bias to achieve the perfect polarization based on the gain of the germanium transistor used, providing unparalleled flexibility in your quest for the ideal sound.
** CONSTRUCTION **
Each unit is meticulously handcrafted, adhering strictly to the original techniques of the 1960s. The silicon transistors play a crucial role in preserving sound authenticity and quality. Furthermore, these transistors are mounted on sockets, facilitating easy replacement so you can experiment with other transistors, values and sounds. The two trimmers included enable precise voltage and bias adjustments, tailoring the pedal's performance to suit the musician's preferences.
** ROGER MAYER AND JIMI HENDRIX CONNECTION **
Our Fuzz pedal pays homage to the historic collaboration between Roger Mayer and Jimi Hendrix. Mayer modified the original Fuzz Face for Jimi, which became an iconic element of Hendrix's sound. This pedal offers musicians a unique opportunity to connect with Hendrix's musical legacy through 1960s-era technology.
